Not an official service

Cyberakshak is an independent project. It is not run by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the Government of India, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), the Reserve Bank of India, any bank, payment app, telecom company or police department. Names of such bodies are used only to describe where you can seek help.

Information only

Everything in Cyberakshak, including scam guides, news summaries, event listings and chatbot replies, is general information. It is not legal, financial, technical or law-enforcement advice, and it does not create any lawyer-client or advisor relationship.

AI can be wrong

The assistant uses AI. It may misunderstand your situation, give incomplete steps or miss recent scam tricks. It cannot verify whether a particular call, link or person is genuine. Treat its answers as a starting point and confirm critical actions with your bank, the official helpline or a professional.

No guarantee of outcome

We cannot investigate cases, trace fraudsters, block transactions or recover money. Following our guidance does not guarantee that you will avoid or recover from a fraud.

News and third-party content

News, advisories and events are collected or summarised from public sources and partners. We try to keep them accurate but cannot guarantee completeness or timeliness. Links to external sites are for convenience; we are not responsible for what you find there.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for decisions you make about your money, devices and accounts. Never share OTPs, PINs, passwords or card details with anyone, including in this app’s chat.
